Ahead of the 2025/2026 Nigeria Women's Football League (NWFL) season, Osun Babes are set to announce a new head coach, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

According to reliable updates from the team’s camp, the club management has finalized plans to appoint Flamingos head coach, Bankole Olowookeere, as their new manager.

Olowookeere, known for his calm demeanor and tactical discipline, recently guided Nigeria’s U17 women’s national team, the Flamingos, to a second-round finish at the ongoing FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco.

The appointment is expected to bring experience and stability to Osun Babes as they prepare for a competitive NWFL campaign, with the management confident that his track record in youth development will translate into success at the senior level.
