Sampson Adedeji
The chairman of the Nigeria Women Football League side Bayelsa Queens Pastor Robin Apreala has reiterated the team's readiness to win the upcoming league title, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The Yenogoa-based club surrendered their league crown to Delta Queens last season after finishing as the first runners-up in the Super Six competition.
The chairman said, their ambition going into the new season is to regain the title.
“We're already thinking about winning the league.
That’s the big dream now for all of us who are united by this universal allegiance that is Bayelsa Queens.
We're working hard to achieve it and once again accomplish something that to many may appear to be impossible.
We've got a great squad. Several of our players have achieved a new feat in the history of the game", he said.
Bayelsa Queens remained one of the most successful teams in the NWFL, having won the title 5 times.
