NWFL 25: Blankson Optimistic Of Victory Over Delta Queens

Rivers Angels Head Coach, Tosan Blankson has expressed optimism of securing the maximum points against Delta Queens, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

He stated this after Rivers Angels secured a thrilling 4-2 victory over FC Robo in a highly entertaining Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) match at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt.

Blankson, who acknowledged his side's emphatic victory over FC Robo Queens, noted that his team needs to work on conceding cheap goals.

"Sometimes you play well and concede goals due to one or two mistakes. The difference now is that we would go back to the drawing board to correct the errors."

Looking ahead to their next match against Delta Queens in Asaba on match day four, Blankson expressed confidence in his team's ability to secure maximum points.

"It's a match between Delta Queens of Asaba and Delta Queens of Rivers because the Asaba team would be playing against seven of their former players, including myself. I will win the match in Asaba and not a point."

The match against Delta Queens is scheduled for February 5th, 2025.
