NWFL 25: I'm Ready To Make My Debut For Rivers Angels - Taiwo Afolabi

Newly signed Rivers Angels midfielder, Taiwo Afolabi has expressed her readiness to play her debut game for the team against Ibom Angels on Wednesday, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

Afolabi was among 14 players unveiled by the seven-time league champions ahead of the league's resumption.

"I'm a professional, and I don't feel pressured playing in a new environment.

 "Football is the same everywhere. With the training I've received from the coaches, I'm 100% ready to make my debut."

Afolabi, nicknamed "Pocket" for her exceptional passing ability, assured fans of her dedication to the team. 

"The fans and people of Rivers State should expect good football and outstanding performance from me. I'm ready to give my best on the pitch."

Rivers Angels hosts Ibom Angels in their opening game for the 2024/2025 Nigeria Women Football League at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium.
