Rivers Angels are gearing up for a crucial showdown as they prepare to host Delta Queens in Port Harcourt in one of the Match Week 12 encounters of the Nigeria Women Football League Premiership, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Tosan Blankson expressed confidence in his team's readiness to bounce back from their defeat to FC Robo, aiming for victory against Delta Queens.

"The girls gave it their all in Lagos, even if the goals didn't come. We've accepted the defeat, learned from it, and we're ready to bounce back on Wednesday."

Blankson added that the team is psychologically ready for Wednesday's task, having analyzed the cause of their last defeat and corrected the errors.

"We've discussed the reasons for our loss in Lagos and established a clear way forward ahead of Wednesday's match."

Addressing the fans, Blankson appealed for unwavering support, urging them to rally behind the team.

'Don't be discouraged by our recent loss in Lagos,' he said. 'We'll make it up to you on Wednesday.'

Blankson has qualified Rivers Angels to the Super Six with three matches to spare.

He downplayed the achievement, citing it's expected from a team of Rivers Angels calibre "Qualifying for the Super Six is a regular routine for Rivers Angels; it's like a birthright for them, so there's nothing special about it."

Both teams are poised for an intense match, with Rivers Angels eager to clinch a decisive win on home turf.

The Jewels of Rivers won the reverse fixture in Asaba 2 - 1 during the first round of the season.
