Rivers Angels Head Coach, Tosan Blankson has expressed confidence in his team's readiness to secure a victory against FC Robo on Wednesday, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Rivers Angels are gearing up for a crucial showdown as they prepare to host table-toppers FC Robo in Port Harcourt for one of the pivotal Match Week 3 encounters of the Nigeria Women Football League Premiership.

"Our preparations have been meticulous as usual. Both players and technical staff are primed for the challenge ahead. We're fully prepared to take on Robo and secure a win," remarked Blankson.

Blankson acknowledged that FC Robo is a tough side, currently topping the table with six points. However, he emphasized his team's determination to secure the maximum points.

"Robo is a very tough side... We would do everything possible to overturn the table. They would give us a good fight, but we would overcome them."

Ifeoma Ikenokwalu echoed Coach Blankson's sentiments, exuding confidence in the team's ability to emerge victorious.

"We are good to go. I know they would give us a good fight, but we are going to try our very best and turn the table around."

Addressing the fans, Ikenokwalu called for their unwavering support, urging them to rally behind the team.

"We're counting on our supporters to stand by us, both in spirit and presence. With their backing, we're confident of securing a 2-0 victory."

Ikenokwalu also expressed her readiness to contribute to the team's success.

"I'm ready to score or assist in the match on Wednesday."

Both teams are poised for an intense match, with Rivers Angels eager to clinch a decisive win on home turf to go top of the group table.
