NWFL Goes On Break, To Restart In January 2023

After match day 4 of the league, the organiser of the Nigeria Women Football League( NWFL) has confirmed that the season will proceed on break, BSNSports.com.ng report.

The 2022/2023 season of the league commenced in late November and 4 rounds of games have been played.

14 teams are competing in the league with 7 teams from 2 groups of A and B.

At the end of the round 4 games, Delta Queens are leading group A with 9 points from 3 dumping the defending champions Bayelsa Queens to the second position with 7 points from 3 matches.

Edo Queens are dictating the pace in group B with 9 points in 4 matches while Nasarawa Amazons are second with 7 points from 3 matches.

According to the football body, the league with resume on the 4th of January, 2023.
