Former Nigeria Women's Football League champions, Rivers Angels outscored Osun United 2-1 on Match-day 2 of the NWFL played on Wednesday to register their first win of the season,, BSNSports.com.ng has gathered.

The Rivers state-based team which suffered a defeat to Bayelsa Queens in the match day one bounced back from Match-day 1 defeat to winning ways with a 2-1 win over Osun Babes.

Blessing Okpe netted the opening goal for the host before Bolaji Olamide equalised on the stroke of halftime.

Aguadze secured maximum points for Rivers Angels in the 77th minute with a well-taken goal 

In Benin, Edo Queens put up a superlative performance to earn a 4-2 win over Confluence Queens.

Chukwuamaka Osigwe opened the scoring for Confluence Queens earlier in the game before Edo Queens levelled up in the 14th minute.

Adaobi Okah put the host ahead in the 28th minute while the Kogi-based club secure an equaliser in the second half.

Edo Queens scored twice in the final minutes to secure a 4-2 victory in the encounter.
