NWFL Opens Premiership Mid-Season Transfer Window, Second Round Set for March 11

By Admin

The Nigeria Women Football League has opened its Premiership mid-season transfer window from February 25 to March 4, giving clubs a short but crucial period to reinforce their squads ahead of the second round of the 2025/26 season.

At the end of the first round on Matchday Nine, Bayelsa Queens FC finished top of Group A, while FC Robo Queens emerged as Group B leaders after nine rounds of action.

With only the top three teams from each group qualifying for the Super Six and the bottom four sides facing relegation at the end of the regular season, the race remains finely balanced across both groups.

The second round will officially resume on March 11, as title contenders look to consolidate their advantage and chasing teams intensify efforts in the transfer market to secure places in the decisive Super Six phase.
