NWFL Round-Up: Bayelsa Queens Pip Rivers Angels, As Naija Ratels, All Home Teams Claim 3pts

The 2022/2023 Nigeria Women Football League season kickoff on Wednesday and the defending champions Bayelsa Queens started their season on a winning note, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The champions played host to derby rivals Rivers Angels and recorded a 2-0 win with goals from Juliet Sunday and Mary Aderemi.

Naija Ratels were the biggest winners on Matchday One as they put three goals past Heartland Queens in a four-goal thriller.

Ayase Roseline's 44th-minute strike handed Nasarawa Amazons a lone-goal victory over Edo Queens.

Goals from Eberechukwu Oleka and Faith Samson secured a 2-0 win for Osun Babes over Royal Queens.

Agam Nkechi's first half-goal secured a lone-goal win for Abia Angel over FC Robo Queens.
