NWFL Round-Up: Rivers Angels, Others Pick Away Wins As Second Stanza Resumes

Rivers Angels continued their impeccable performance in the ongoing 2024/2025 Nigeria Women Football League, NWFL, after snatching the maximum points against Adamawa Queens, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

The Jewels of Rivers came from a goal down to beat the hosts 2-1 at the Lafia City Stadium in the second stanza of the league with goals coming from Taiwo Afolabi and Temilade Oluwaseun own goal at the death. 

Elsewhere, Edo Queens got the better of Ekiti Queens with a one-nil away win in Ilorin while Benue Queens suffered a 4-0 loss to visiting Naija Ratels. 

In Yenegoa, Bayelsa Queens beat Robo Queens 3-0 while Abia Angels defeated Dannaz Ladies 2-0 in Umuahia.
