NWFL Super 6: Bayelsa Queens Beat Nasarawa Amazons To Emerge League Winners

The 2022 Nigeria Women Football League Super 6 came to an end on Sunday and it was a remarkable all through for Bayelsa Queens as they secured a 100 per cent record to emerge champions, BSNsports.com.ng report


Bayelsa Queens have been outstanding since the commencement of the Super 6 and won all the four games before the final matchday against the closest challenger, Nasarawa Amazons.


 Nasawara on their part required a win to clinch the title while a draw will give the cup to Bayelsa.


It was Gift Monday again that gifted the title to Bayelsa as she scored twice to cancel one goal scored by Nasarawa.


The result means Bayelsa Queens are the winner of this year league and will represent the country in the second edition of the CAF Women Champions League.


In the other results, Edo Queens held defending champions Rivers Angels to a goalless draw while Delta Queens defeated Naija Ratels FC by a lone goal.
