Delta Queens secured a comfortable victory over Confluence Queens in the opening day of the Nigeria Women's Football League Super 6, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

In the keenly contested encounter at the Stephen Stadium in Asaba, Delta State, Ekpenyong Effiom put Delta Queens ahead in the 19th minute before Peter Martha restored parity in the 30th minute.

Samuel Vera restored the host lead in the 34th minute ensuring a lead going into the halftime.

Effiom completed her brace and sealed the game in the 90th minute for Delta Queens with a 3-1 win.
