NWFL Super 6: Edo Queens Will Be Team To Beat – Coach Moses Aduku
Sampson Adedeji
As the countdown to the NWFL Super 6 intensifies, Edo Queens' head coach Moses Aduku has acknowledged that his team will be the primary target for their rivals, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Reflecting on their impressive achievements last season, Aduku noted that Edo Queens’ success has made them a formidable force in Nigerian women's football.
The reigning champions clinched the NWFL Super Six title in Yenagoa and also reached the semi-finals of the CAF Women’s Champions League.
“So far, so good—we’ve played 14 NWFL matches, won 11, drawn two, and lost just one,” Aduku said during a press briefing.
“The players and the management have done an excellent job during the regular season.”
He emphasized that while the journey so far has been commendable, the real challenge lies ahead.
“We’re only halfway there. The Super Six will be tough, and the pressure will be on me. Every team will be aiming to bring down Edo Queens,” he said.
“But both myself and the players are ready. We’ll go into the tournament fully focused on retaining our title.”
