The much-awaited Nigeria Women Football League Super 6 kickoff on Monday in Benin City , Edo State and it was full of drama, BSNsports.com.ng understand.


The first game of the day witnessed a shocking result as Bayelsa Queen shocked defending champion Rivers Angels with a 2-1 win.


It was Joy Bokiri that netted the opening goal in the 33rd minute and the half ended in favour of Bayelsa Queen.


River Angels displayed an improved performance in the second stanza and was able to equalized in the 76th minute through Rafiat Imran.


As the fans were thinking that the game will end in draw, Monday Gift popped up with a winning goal in the 91st minute and secured Bayelsa with a win.


The second match witness drama, because the match between Nasarawa Amazon and Naija Ratel FC ended up in a walkover in favour of the Amazon.


Naija Ratel refused to play in an agreed customised kit that was designed for the entire teams  


The game was delayed for another 30 minutes for them to come up but the team handler insisted that until they allowed them to play in their kits, which led the match official into performing a walkover in favour of Nasarawa Amazon.


The last match of the day between Delta Queensand host Edo Queen live up to expectation as both teams sized up each other.


After the first half ended scoreless, the referee has to delayed the resumption of the second half due to the heavy rain but at the end, it was goalless between them.
