NWFL Super Six : Deputy Gov Inspires Edo Queens Ahead Of Tourney

The Deputy Governor of Edo state Rt Hon Comrade Philip Shaibu has promised to give Edo Queens Football Club of Benin all necessary support required for them to do well in the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Super Six Tournament holding later this year in Benin, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The sports loving Deputy Governor gave the assurance during the evening training session with the team today in Benin.

He assured them of necessary and adequate support, beginning from preparation and throughout the duration of the tournament to enable them succeed.

“We will do all that is necessary for you to be at your best. All we need from you is for you to remain focused and dedicated; Be disciplined and encourage cooperation among yourselves to display the spirit of team play. The only way you can reciprocate government encouragement for you and the resources being committed to preparing you is for you to do the right thing and be mentally and physically prepared at all times to be about to finish the season well.

He revealed that he has directed the management to begin implementation of players’ ratings and remuneration based on performance and discipline on and off the field.
