Bayelsa Queens endured a difficult morning at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne, as they lost 1-0 against the run of play against Edo Queens in Matchday 4 of the NWFL Super Six on Thursday to end their 17-match unbeaten run, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Prosperity Girls, who defied the Remo Stars Stadium's atmosphere from the blast of the whistle, found themselves trailing in the 45th minute, courtesy of substitute Goodness Osigwe’s goal.

Technical Adviser, Bayelsa Queens, Whyte Ogbonda, said football can be cruel, as his girls played better, but their undoing was not taking their chances.

“We did all we could, but you know sometimes football can be cruel, and today is one of such days, and you know Edo Queens are the defending champions, but I promised an improved performance from my players against Naija Ratels.

“I believe we are going to have a great game against Naija Ratels. I can guarantee that our approach will be much better, as there is still everything to play for,” Coach Whyte added.
