NWFL Super Six Suffers Indefinite Suspension

The latest update coming from the organizers of the Nigeria Women Football League shows the upcoming Super Six playoff has been suspended indefinitely, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The league body on Monday announced that May 6th to 12th in Asaba, Delta State will be the date and venue for this year's Super Six.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) after the announcement of the venue and dates of the Super 6 directed that the competition should be on hold until after the completion of the WAFU B U20 Championships in Ghana.
Modupe Shabi, Chief Operating Officer of the NWFL, confirmed the postponement in a statement issued on Tuesday, May 2.
The reason for the postponement was not mentioned in the statement.
Delta Queens, Rivers Angels, title holders Bayelsa Queens, Confluence Queens, Robo Queens, and Edo Queens are the clubs that have qualified for the playoff.
She added that the new date for the Super Six competition will be decided after the upcoming maiden WAFU-B U20 Women’s Cup in Ghana, held from May 20 to June 3 in Kumasi.
