NWFL Super Six Triumph: Bayelsa Government Host Victorious Bayelsa Queens

Following their amazing performance in the recently concluded Nigeria Women Football League Super Six, the Bayelsa State government on Sunday hosted the victorious Bayelsa Queen, BSNsports.com.ng reports.

Bayelsa Queens were crowned champions of the tournament in Benin City, Edo State after they won all their games in the group.

During the dinner that was held at the Golden Tulip hotel, Deputy Governor Lawrence Ehrujakpo who represented the Governor Douyen Diri appreciated the players for their performance while also promising them the goodies that have been packaged for them including getting them sponsors.

"I am just discussing with the Commissioner for Sports, we are also looking for sponsors for the team so they can also assist the state government.

“Some of you will be shown on television, advertising some of those products, anybody we are able to get even if it’s First Bank, Shell, Aiteo or any company that will advertise, that job is what we want to do now with the commissioner, we want to get sponsors that will sponsor you and make you feel better," he told the team media.

Bayelsa Queen will represent Nigeria in the WAFU B Women's Champions League qualifier that will be staged in Ivory Coast.
