NWFL Update: Edo Queens Declare Chioma Esther Moses AWOL

By Precious Oham

The management of Edo Queens Football Club of Benin City has declared their forward, Chioma Esther Moses, AWOL, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

According to Friday’s release by the Nigeria Women’s Football League Premiership campaigners, they left the camp without permission from constituted authorities.

The club’s camp commandant, Miss. Bunmi Kayode, has since reported to the head coach of the team, Moses Aduku, and the club’s secretary about the player leaving the club without due permission.

"Miss Kayode officially reported that the player took her belongings and left the camp of the club without her knowledge or permission.

"For the record, Chioma Esther Moses has an existing contract with Edo Queens FC.

"The club management did not receive any complaints from the player on any issue affecting her, and there was no negotiation between the player and the management that she would leave the club by mid-season.

"All efforts to reach her have proved abortive, which has now prompted the management of the club to declare her AWOL."
