NWFL Update: Heartland Queen's Ogbala Unfazed Over Adamawa Queen's Victory

Precious Oham

Heartland Queens Technical Adviser, Obi Ogbala has said he was unfazed with the goal margin of victory against visitors, Adamawa Queens in Wednesday's NWFL Premiership matchday 8 clash at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Owerri landladies won the epic clash with three unanswered goals, with the trio, Chinyere Iheoma, Onyinyechi Kalu and Chinedu Chinaka contributing a goal each in the goal feast.

Ogbala said the five-star performances of his wards in the topflight clash was simply a signature of hardwork and perseverance.

He said: "The goal margin was not a surprise, I even thought it would have been more than that but it's hardwork that gave us the victory.

"Prior to the start of the season, I told them that goals count, we must make do with goals at all times.

"And you can see where we are sitting first position on the log it's goals that separate us from the other three contenders. So, I have always reminded them that goals count in this business end of the league.

"I took them back to the Dannaz Ladies' match where we were winning 1-0 and all of sudden it was 1-1 before we won with stoppage goal. I said remember the game and that motivated them to do what they did in the second half. So there will not be the number of goals we would score in a match that will surprise me, the way things are shaping up it may eventually come down to goals."

Heartland Queens will trade tackles with Royal Queens in Sapele on Wednesday in Match Day 9 clash.
