Napoli, Juventus To Negotiate Deal With Atalanta For Lookman

According to reports on Italy's Calciomercato.com, both Napoli and Juventus are interested in acquiring Super Eagles star Ademola Lookman, who seems eager for a new adventure away from Atalanta next season.
BSNSports.com.ng sourced that the two Serie A clubs are reportedly looking to negotiate a deal with Atalanta for the Nigerian international, who appears ready to leave the club following a public disagreement with head coach Gian Piero Gasperini in recent days.
The conflict arose after Atalanta was eliminated from the Champions League by Club Brugge last Tuesday. Lookman, who was substituted in at halftime, scored shortly after his entrance.
However, he then took a penalty despite not being the designated taker and failed to convert it.
In response, Gasperini criticized Lookman, calling him “one of the worst penalty takers I’ve ever seen.” Lookman found these comments “hurtful and deeply disrespectful” and responded with a statement of his own.
A recent report indicates that Atalanta values the 27-year-old at around €60 million, but with his contract set to expire at the end of next season, the club is reportedly aware that they may need to lower their asking price if they wish to part ways with the Nigerian this summer.
