The Nationwide League One (NLO) has designated Nasarawa State, Yobe State, and Jigawa State as hosts for the Division One Promotional Play-off, scheduled for July 2 and 7, 2026.

This key phase determines which four clubs from the North will be promoted to the Nigeria National League (NNL).

The play-off features 16 teams that advanced from the League Round, divided into zones: North-Central Zone 1 (Mighty Jet Feeders FC, Bida Lions FC, La-Planet FC, and Flight FC), North-Central Zone 2 (Mailantarki Care FC, Neurospark FC, Police Machine, and Kogi United), North-East Zone (FC Yarmalight, DMD FC, Makwanda Warriors FC, and Warinje FC), and North-West Zone (Musa Musa FC, Katsina United Jnr, Zamfara United, and Jnr Danburam FC).

In addition to announcing the host states, the matches will be held at August 27 Stadium, Dutse Stadium, and Lafia Township Stadium, with each location hosting the respective teams' playoff matchups.

The NLO also announced that the playoffs will be held concurrently across the three zones to ensure a competitive and smooth tournament.

All qualified teams must arrive at their assigned venues by July 1, 2026, for the technical pre-match meeting.

State FAs are responsible for ensuring all qualifying teams from their states are fully cleared, documented, and informed of their respective venues. Detailed fixtures, venue assignments, and guidelines will be sent to the clubs via their State FAs.

The NLO emphasised a zero-tolerance policy for indiscipline, late arrivals, or failure to provide valid player licenses. It urged State FAs to promote fair play and strict compliance with league regulations among their clubs.
