Super Eagles players after their training session at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja were not happy with the way they were being conveyed from their hotel to Stadium on Monday and Tuesday and also for being forced to train in darkness, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

When the team arrived at the stadium at 4:45pm on Monday, our correspondent at the stadium saw the players coming down from a 32-seater coaster bus, the players sluggishly entered the pitch and trained for two hours. They were taken back to their hotel with the coaster bus, the same that was on duty when Flying Eagles who won bronze at the just-concluded CAF U20 African Nations Cup in Egypt were in camp in Abuja.

When the issue was raised by one of the foreign based player on Monday, one of the team officials promised to get one of the two official team buses ready on Tuesday, but alas, none of the buses was available. So, the 32-seat coaster bus was again called upon to come to rescue.

Wondering why Super Eagles bus was not used, our correspondent saw only one instead of two official Super Eagles buses parked at the entrance of Package A of Moshood Abiola Stadium when he visited the venue. As at the time of this publication, BSN Sports couldn't confirm whether it was spoilt and the whereabout of the second bus. The two buses were bought in 2010 by Sani Lulu led NFF board.

As if that was not enough, Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro could not complete his tactical training on Tuesday night as the stadium lights failed to come on. The team had to train the last 25 minutes in total darkness and was forced to abandon their training using their phones torch lights to run and squeeze themselves inside the small bus.

18 players with three goalkeepers trained for just an hour on the fateful night, the training started at 6:00pm and was forced to end at 7:00 pm when they could no longer see anything. Some of the players who could not hide their displeasure complained bitterly over the inconveniences they were going through while returning back to their hotel.

Group A table toppers, Nigeria will trade tackles with Guinea Bissau on Friday at 5 pm in the 2023 African Nations Cup qualifier while the second leg holds on Tuesday.
