National Sports Festival: 32Million Naira Alleged Fraud Scandal Rocks Osun Sports Council

The Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke tsunami to tackling fraud done in the last government, appears to have hit Osun Sports and the Osun Sports Council in the next purge after a 32million naira alleged fraud scandal was uncovered, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

It was sourced on a Sports Group on WhatsApp Family United By Football (FUBF), that at the centre of the storm are some key officials of the Osun State Sports Council and other cohorts.

The General Manager, Director of Coaching And Training, Director Of Organization, Accountant) and other officials are to appear before the Asset Recovery Committee at the Osun State Ministry Of Justice by 10 am, Wednesday, January 4, 2023.

The officials are expected to be grilled as the panel is investigating how 32 Million Naira released by the state government, for National Sports Festival tagged Asaba 2022 was spent.

Recall the National Sports Festival ended on the 10th of December and Osun State finished 17th on the medals haul with 29 medals which consist of 4 gold, 12 silver and 13 bronze.
