National Team Coach Tenders Resignation Letter
Sampson Adedeji
Former Senegal head coach Aliou Cissé has stepped down from his position as head coach of the Libya national team with immediate effect, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Cissé, who took charge of the Mediterranean Knights in 2025, brings his tenure to an abrupt end following recent developments surrounding contractual obligations.
The Libyan Football Federation had only last week settled outstanding salary arrears and bonuses owed to the former defender, drawing a close to a prolonged financial dispute.
Despite the resolution, Cissé has now opted to part ways with the national team, marking the end of a short-lived spell in charge.
