Ndidi, Moses Simon, Akor Yet To Join Super Eagles Camp in London

Super Eagles captain Wilfred Ndidi, vice-captain Moses Simon, and striker Adam Akor are yet to arrive at the team’s training camp in London ahead of Saturday’s Unity Cup final against Jamaica.

The trio, regarded among the senior players invited for the tournament, were also included in Nigeria’s squad for next month’s international friendlies against Poland and Portugal.

Despite preparations already underway in London, the players have not reported to camp, raising uncertainty over their availability for the clash against Jamaica.

“They have not joined camp yet. I don’t know when they will,” a team official told SCORENigeria.

Nigeria will face Jamaica on Saturday in a repeat of the 2025 Unity Cup final, with a largely experimental Super Eagles side expected to be led by forward Terem Moffi.

The Super Eagles booked their place in the final after defeating Zimbabwe 2-0 in the first semifinal, while Jamaica secured a similar 2-0 victory over India in the second semifinal on Wednesday to set up a repeat of 2025 Unity Cup final.

While Super Eagles are expected to retain the trophy they won in 2025 Jamaica are looking forward to stopping Nigeria dominance.
