New Continental Champions Crowned At African Track Championships In Nigeria

New African continental champions emerged on the track as cyclists from across the continent battled for honours at the ongoing Continental Track Championships in Nigeria, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The championship produced new holders of the prestigious Elite and Junior Men’s and Women’s Scratch Race jerseys for the 2026 season.

In the women’s elite category, South Africa’s S’annara Grove claimed the continental title after an impressive performance to secure the coveted jersey.

Algeria’s Yacine Hamza emerged champion in the men’s elite division, further underlining his dominance on the African cycling scene.

Nigeria also celebrated success in the junior category as Grace Godwin clinched the women’s junior scratch race title to the delight of the home supporters.

In the men’s junior event, South Africa’s Noah September rode to victory to complete the list of newly crowned continental jersey holders.
