The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has unveiled a new visual identity and trophy for the TotalEnergies CAF Futsal Africa Cup of Nations, ushering in a new chapter for the continent’s premier futsal competition, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The new branding and trophy were revealed ahead of the official draw for the CAF Futsal Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2026, which is scheduled to take place in Rabat on Monday, August 10.

CAF said the new identity reflects the growth, ambition and competitive character of African futsal, with the design drawing inspiration from the sport’s speed, creativity, movement and intensity.

The rebranding forms part of CAF’s efforts to strengthen the profile of futsal across the continent and highlight the increasing quality of the game on the international stage.

New Trophy Reflects the Spirit of Futsal

The newly designed trophy features a contemporary structure built around bold diagonal lines, representing the speed, movement and excitement associated with futsal.

Five golden arches form a central element of the design, symbolising the five players who represent each team on the court.

At the top of the trophy, a final arch depicts a team captain lifting a ball engraved with the map of Africa. The image represents the ultimate achievement of being crowned continental champions.

The centre of the trophy features a matte-gold map of Africa set against a shiny gold-plated background, underlining the continental significance of the competition.

The name of the tournament is engraved at the base, while the reverse carries a roll of honour featuring the competition’s previous winners, linking the new design with the tournament’s history.

The CAF Futsal Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2026 will be played from October 12 to 21, bringing together eight of the continent’s leading futsal nations.

The qualified teams are Algeria, Angola, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, Mozambique, Tanzania and Zambia.

Hosts Morocco will enter the tournament looking to make the most of home advantage, while the other qualified nations will compete for continental supremacy in what promises to be a highly competitive edition.

The tournament will also provide an opportunity for CAF to showcase the continued development of futsal in Africa, with the new trophy and visual identity providing a distinctive identity for the competition going forward.

With the introduction of the new branding and trophy, CAF is seeking to give the Futsal Africa Cup of Nations a stronger visual presence while celebrating the skill, speed and creativity that continue to drive the growth of the sport across the continent.
