Nigeria, Egypt Secure Qualification For 2026 ITTF World Youth Championships

Nigeria and Egypt have secured qualification for the 2026 ITTF World Youth Championships in Istanbul, Turkey, after impressive performances at the Africa Youth Championships in Accra, Ghana, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The two table tennis powerhouses earned the continent's qualification slots by emerging champions in their respective team events at the continental competition.

Egypt dominated the championships, with its U-15 boys' and girls' teams as well as the U-19 girls' team all claiming qualification for the global event, which will take place from November 21 to 28 in Istanbul.

Nigeria also secured a place at the prestigious tournament through its U-19 boys' team, which emerged victorious in its category to complete Africa's list of representatives.

The qualification marks another significant achievement for both nations, who will now carry Africa's hopes at the ITTF World Youth Championships later this year in Turkey.
