Nigeria Beat Madagascar 3-0 To Reach Next Round

Nigeria secured qualification for the next phase of the Billie Jean King Cup Africa Group III Qualifier in Gaborone, Botswana, after an impressive 3-0 victory over previously unbeaten Madagascar in their final Group C round-robin match, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Nigerian team made a perfect start through Success Ogunjobi, who staged a remarkable comeback in the opening singles rubber. After losing the first set 3-6, Ogunjobi fought back brilliantly to claim a 3-6, 6-2, 6-3 victory, giving Nigeria a crucial 1-0 lead.

Oyinlomo Quadre then sealed Nigeria's advantage in the second singles match with a composed 6-3, 6-3 win over Iariniaina Tsantaniony, extending the lead to 2-0 and putting the team on the brink of qualification.

With top spot in Group C at stake, the doubles pairing of Oyinlomo Quadre and Khadijat delivered another dominant performance. 

The Nigerian duo defeated Madagascar 6-2, 6-0 to complete a comprehensive 3-0 sweep.

The victory ensured Nigeria finished top of Group C in the round-robin stage, advancing to the next phase of the Billie Jean King Cup Africa Group III Qualifier with an unbeaten record. 

The result also ended Madagascar's unbeaten run in the competition.
