Nigeria-Born Arike Ogunbowale Sets New Record In WNBA

Arike Ogunbowale, a Nigeria-born was the cynosure of all eyes in the Women's National Basketball Association as her club Dallas Wings defeated Seattle Storms 75-65, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Arike scored 27 points, hitting five 3-pointers to set a winning path for Dallas Wings. 

She scored Dallas’ opening 10 points of the third quarter, including a 3-pointer to make it 52-38. 

Arike is now the franchise record holder for the most 3-point field goals made (324) passing Deanna ‘Tweety’ Nolan. 

When asked what the new franchise record means to her, Arike simply said, “It’s dope,” thanking her teammates for hitting her with the ball when she was open.
