Nigeria’s athletics team has received a major boost following the confirmation of Divine Oladipo for international duty after switching allegiance from Great Britain, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Oladipo, who previously represented the United Kingdom, opted to compete for Nigeria and was officially cleared by World Athletics in 2025.

The talented shot putter is now set to make her maiden appearance for Nigeria at the upcoming competition in Accra, where she will compete in the women’s Shot Put event.

Her inclusion is expected to strengthen Nigeria’s chances in the field events as the country continues preparations for major international athletics competitions.
