Nigeria Clinches Double Gold in 4x100m Relays at CAA Region II Championship

Team Nigeria underlined their sprinting pedigree with a clean sweep in the men’s and women’s 4x100m relays at the CAA Region II Senior Athletics Championship in Ghana, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

In the men’s final, the Nigerian quartet edged out a determined Ghanaian side, crossing the line in 39.74 seconds—just one-hundredth of a second ahead of the hosts, who settled for silver in 39.75s. Burkina Faso followed in third place with a time of 40.95s.

The women’s team was equally dominant, storming to victory in 44.92s. Burkina Faso claimed silver in 46.56s, while Ghana took bronze to round off the podium.

The results capped a memorable outing for Nigeria, whose sprinters delivered emphatic victories in both relay events, reaffirming the country’s stature as a sprint powerhouse in the region.
