Nigeria Clubs Finish 10th, 11th In African Women's Volleyball Championship Final Ranking

The two clubs that represented Nigeria at the 2025 African Women's Volleyball Club Championship, the hosts, Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) and Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) finished 10th and 11th respectively out of 16 participating teams.

With first, second, third and fourth positions to be determined on final match day games on Sunday, other positions from 5th to 16th on the log have been occupied following classification matches concluded on Saturday.

In match 52 game, Police of Rwanda beat Nigeria Customs Service 3-1 to occupy 9th position while the host settled for 10h on the ranking log. The second team, Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) claimed 11th position after a tight 3-2 defeat La Loi VLL of DR Congo who ended 12th in final ranking. 

In the classification final for 5th and 6th positions, Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) were the better side with a 3-0 win to claim bragging right over its compatriots Kenya Prisons who had to settle for 6th position.

In other classification matches, Mayo Kani Evolution of Cameroon finishes the championship with final ranking of 13 leaving Descartes to settle for position 14. Elsewhere, Senegal's Sococim (SOC) beat Spiking Stars (SVV) of Botswana 3-0. SOC finished the championship on position 15 while debutants, SVV came last (16th) on the tournament's table.

Four matches will hold today (Sunday) to determine the champions, runners-up, third and fourth best teams.

Meanwhile, Nigeria First Lady, Senator Remi Tinubu is expected to draw the curtain on the tournament as the closing ceremony for the 2025 African Women's Volleyball Club Championship holds at the Multipurpose Hall of Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja at 4;00pm
