Nigeria’s women’s national team head coach Theophilus Ibodeme and senior men’s assistant coach Leke Oyede are currently in Ghana for the ongoing ICC Level 2 Coach Tutors Course, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The duo are participating in the advanced coaching development programme organised by International Cricket Council, designed to enhance technical expertise, teaching methodologies, and overall coaching standards.

The course brings together coaching educators from across the region, with a focus on improving grassroots and elite cricket development structures.

For Nigeria, the involvement of Ibodeme and Oyede is seen as a strategic step toward strengthening the country’s coaching capacity and long-term player development pathway.

Their participation is expected to further support Nigeria’s ambition to raise competitiveness across both the women’s and men’s national teams through improved coaching education and modern performance practices.
