Nigeria Customs Begins Africa Women's Basketball League with Victory Over Cameroonian Opponent

Nigeria Customs began their campaign at the inaugural edition of the FIBA Africa Women's Basketball League, AWBL, with a 57-46 victory over University de Douala, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

Captain of the side, Nkem Akaraiwe was instrumental for the victory of the Border Girls', scoring a game high of 20 points and 19 rebounds to emerge as one of their top performers. 

Nigeria Customs were grouped alongside Sporting Alexandra, C.N.S.S, Kenya Ports Authority, KPA, and University de Douala in Group A of the inaugural edition of the FIBA AWBL.

The newly-launched AWBL will run between December 11-19 in the Egyptian coastal city of Alexandria.
