Nigeria's contingent has departed the country for the United States ahead of the 2026 World U20 Championships, with the team aiming to make a strong impression on the global stage, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Athletics Federation of Nigeria has assembled a formidable squad of 15 athletes for the competition, with expectations high that the championship could serve as a launchpad for the nation's next generation of track and field stars.

Two of Nigeria's standout athletes, Jessica Oji and Miracle Ezechukwu, will link up with the rest of the squad in Eugene after completing their engagements at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in the United Kingdom.

The Nigerian team will be looking to produce outstanding performances and challenge for medals as they compete against the world's best young athletes at the prestigious championship.
