The Nigerian women’s cricket team has slipped three places in the latest International Cricket Council (ICC) T20I rankings, moving from 26th to 29th, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

This drop places Nigeria as the sixth-ranked team in Africa, behind South Africa, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Namibia, and Tanzania.

The decline is largely due to the team’s recent inactivity, including the cancellation of the annual National Women’s Invitational tournament.

However, the team will have an opportunity to regain lost ground and earn valuable ICC points later this month when they compete in the Kwibuka Memorial Tournament in Rwanda.

On the men’s side, there has been no change in rankings, with Nigeria maintaining their 36th position globally and remaining seventh in Africa.
