Nigeria Duo Pick World Cup Tickets

Nigeria duo, Aruna Quadri and Fatimo Bello have qualified for the 2025 Table Tennis World Cup to be hosted in Chinese gambling capital, Macao.

The Nigerian table tennis stars picked their ITTF World Cup tickets following their qualification for the semi finals of the ongoing men’s and women’s categories at the ITTF Africa Cup in Tunisia.

In the men's category, Olympian, Aruna dismantled Ivorian player Oba Oba Kizito 4-0 in the African championship to make the men’s singles semi while Bello beat home girl Saidi Ella by 4 sets to 1 to qualify for the women’s singles semi.

Quadri will play Ivorian Batix Ylane in day’s second last four game at the Palais des sports d’El Menzah, Tunis, while Bello will square up to top Egyptian talent Hanna Goda .

In the second women’s semifinal, Egyptian Alhodaby Mariam will square off against country woman and 9 time African champion Dina Meshref who accounted for Nigerian Fashola Aminat’s quarterfinal elimination.

The first men’s semifinal today is between Egyptian powerhouse Omar Assar and Abdelkadir Salifou of Benin Republic.

Semifinalists in the continental championship are guaranteed slots at the ITTF World Cup 2025 in China.

Men’s Singles

– Quadri Aruna (NGR) vs. Ylane Batix (CMR)

– Omar Assar (EGY) vs. Abdel-Kader Salifou (BEN)

Women’s Singles:

– Hana Goda (EGY) vs. Fatimo Bello (NGR)

– Dina Meshref (EGY) vs. Mariam Alhodaby (EGY)
