Nigeria Extend Unbeaten Run At African Nations Cup Volleyball Qualifiers

Nigeria maintained their unbeaten start at the 2026 African Nations Cup Volleyball Qualifiers Zone 3 after defeating Togo 3-1 in their third match of the competition in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The encounter, played at the Palais des Sports de Treichville on Thursday, July 16, saw the Nigerian team recover strongly after dropping the second set to claim a deserved victory.

Nigeria won the opening set 25-17 before Togo responded to level the contest with a 25-22 second-set win. 

The Nigerians regained control in the third set, cruising to a 25-15 victory, and sealed the match by taking the fourth set 25-17.

The victory extends Nigeria's unbeaten run in the Zone 3 qualifiers, boosting the team's hopes of securing qualification for the 2026 African Nations Cup.

With three consecutive wins, Nigeria continue to impress in Abidjan as they aim to finish the qualifying tournament on a high.
