Nigeria Police Celebrates Nathaniel's Commonwealth 400m Hurdles Gold

The Nigeria Police Force expresses immense pride and joy over Corporal Ezekiel Nathaniel's historic gold medal win at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, reports BSNSports.com.ng.
On Friday night, Nathaniel delivered a stellar performance, winning the men's 400 metres hurdles final in 48.47 seconds to secure the Commonwealth title.
This victory marks a significant improvement from his sixth-place finish at Birmingham 2022, showcasing the determination, tactical discipline, and grit typical of Nigeria Police personnel. IGP Olatunji Riliwan Disu, psc (+), NPM, congratulates Nathaniel for raising both the national and Force flags on the global stage.
His achievement is seen as a model of excellence for officers across all commands. The Force leadership attributes the success to structured institutional support, noting that Nathaniel's triumph aligns with the IGP's Strategic Agenda for Police Sports Development, Personnel Welfare, and Capacity Building.
