Nigeria has officially qualified for the Mixed 4x100m final at the World Ultimate Championships after earning one of the top eight positions at the World Athletics Relays held in May, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

The qualification follows an outstanding performance by the Nigerian mixed relay team, which made history during the competition in Botswana.

The quartet of Favour Ashe, Obi Jennifer Chukwuka, Chidera Ezeakor, and Maria Omokwe produced a sensational run of 40.24 seconds to set a new African record, breaking the previous continental mark.

Their record-breaking performance not only secured Nigeria's place among the world's elite relay teams but also guaranteed automatic qualification for the Mixed 4x100m final at the World Ultimate Championships.

The achievement highlights the steady progress of Nigerian athletics in relay events and raises expectations as the team prepares to compete against the world's best at the championships.
