Nigeria Reaffirms Readiness For 6th Islamic Solidarity Games In Saudi Arabia

The National Sports Commission (NSC) has reaffirmed Nigeria's commitment to participate in the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games, scheduled in Saudi Arabia from November 7 to 21, 2025, reports BSNSports.com.ng.
As part of the preparations for the games, NSC Director General Hon. Bukola Olopade is attending a two-day seminar in Riyadh as the Chef de Mission for Team Nigeria.
This seminar allows all participating countries to familiarize themselves with the new guidelines and operational procedures for the games.
The Director General departed Nigeria on Friday, immediately after supervising the successful execution of the 22nd National Sports Festival in Ogun State.
The DG's participation in this strategic seminar is expected to ensure that Team Nigeria is fully equipped with all necessary regulations and requirements for a successful performance during the games in November.
The Islamic Solidarity Games present an opportunity for Nigeria to showcase its athletes and identify new talents.
Nigeria aims to contribute to the ultimate goals of unity, diversity, and humanity that the Games represent.
This year's Islamic Games will return to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia after a 20-year hiatus, and they are anticipated to set new standards while uniting athletes from all 57 member countries around the world.
