Nigeria has retained four continental slots for next season's CAF club engagements, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

This is a result of Stade Malien, who suffered a one-nil loss to CD Lunda despite Enyimba's defeat to Zamalek SC of Egypt.

With the results, Enyimba finished third in their group while Stade Malien finished fourth. With the tie on the CAF co-efficient table, Nigeria will move to number 12 on the table while Mali will drop to number 13.

The top 12 countries will produce four teams for continental football next season.
