Nigeria Rugby Football Federation Rolls Out 2023 Programmes

Nigeria Rugby Football Federation (NRFF) has released its draft calendar for the 2023 season; with the World Anti-doping Agency Course and First Aid in Rugby Level 1 Training Course as the first programme, reports BSNSports.com.ng.

Twenty-six events with proposed venues and provisional dates are on the calendar, with Delta and Lagos State hosting NRFF's events.

The Training Course is scheduled for 1st-5th February in a yet-to-be-determined venue, is NRFF's first for 2023.

Other important events for the NRFF are the National Youth Games Rugby 7s (Boys and Girls U15) to be hosted by Delta State between 8-18 February and a Board Meeting.

The first programme for March will see the nation's capital, Abuja host the World Rugby Coaches Match Officials and Medical Training Course, followed by the National Rugby 7s tournament and the NRFF Annual General Meeting (AGM) billed for Delta State.

April will see the commencement of the National U15s Super League Season (Southern Nigeria), while Togo will host the Africa Rugby 7s Pre-qualifier (Men and Women national team).

The Centrale International Invitation in Paris and the Lilleker Tournament in Zaria are two key events in May.

It will be a busy month of June, as Lagos, the Centre of Excellence will host the Camping for West Africa 4 Nations Tournament, West Africa 4 Nations Tournament (Nigeria, Ghana & Ivory Coast, Togo) and Board Meeting, as the National 15s Super League Season [Northern Nigeria], kicks off too.

Nairobi, Kenya will host this year's Safari Sevens Tournament in August, as November will play host to the year-ending National Schools 7s Tournament [Get Into Rugby Schools Festival] and the Dubai Sevens Invitational Tournament (Men & Women National Teams).
