Nigeria Rugby Football Federation Suspends South West League

The Nigeria Rugby Football Federation (NRFF) has decided to suspend the South West Rugby League until further notice due to the current situation in the country, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

Dr. Ademola Are, the President of the NRFF, stated that, given the present circumstances, it would not be in the best interest of the country or the participants to continue with the league on Saturday.

"The safety and well-being of all involved are of paramount importance. 

"The federation will continue to closely monitor the situation and will make a categorical statement regarding the resumption of the league once conditions improve.

"We urge all clubs to understand and bear with us during this period of uncertainty. Our priority is to ensure that the league can resume in a safe and secure environment for everyone involved."
