Nigeria’s Chukwuebuka Enekwechi delivered an impressive performance to finish second in the men’s shot put at the Drake Relays, marking a strong start to his outdoor season, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Enekwechi recorded a best throw of 21.74 metres, narrowly missing out on top spot in a highly competitive field.

The event was won by Roger Steen, the reigning World Indoor medalist, who secured victory with a throw of 21.93 metres.

Jamaica’s Rajindra Campbell finished third with an effort of 21.72 metres, just two centimetres behind Enekwechi.

The result underlines Enekwechi’s consistency on the global stage and provides a solid platform as he builds momentum for the rest of the outdoor campaign.
