Nigeria Star Picks Bronze In Florida

Nigeria’s rising track sensation Adaobi Tabugbo secured a bronze medal at the Pure Athletics Elite Sprint Meet held in Florida after finishing third in the women’s 100m hurdles final, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Tabugbo posted a wind-aided time of 12.93 seconds (+2.8m/s) in a highly competitive race featuring top athletes from across the Americas and the Caribbean.

The event was won by Aasia Laurencin of Saint Lucia, who crossed the line in 12.73 seconds, while Paola Vazquez of Puerto Rico claimed second position with a time of 12.93 seconds.

Despite the strong tailwind making the times ineligible for record purposes, Tabugbo’s performance further underlined her growing reputation on the international athletics scene as she continues to impress in the women’s sprint hurdles event.
