Nigerian quarter-miler Gafari Badmus delivered an impressive performance at the Meeting Ciudad de Málaga in Spain, clocking a new personal best of 45.28 seconds to win his men's 400m heat, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The outstanding run saw Badmus lower his previous personal best of 45.53 seconds, which he set last year, further underlining his steady progress in the event.

The performance continues a strong run of form for the Nigerian athlete.

Just last Sunday, Badmus recorded a time of 46.17 seconds to claim victory at the Spanish Club Championships.

His latest achievement in Málaga will boost confidence ahead of upcoming international competitions, as he continues to establish himself as one of Nigeria's promising 400m runners on the European circuit.
